This work explores the tension between invisibility and resistance.

Invisibility can be imposed by gender, sexuality, disability, poverty, mental illness, prejudice, or countless other circumstances.

Sometimes invisibility offers protection. More often, it isolates.

Woven with nearly-transparent monofilament, the work appears, disappears, and reappears, asking viewers to look more carefully. Woven within is a single red thread—a quiet spark of resistance that refuses to disappear.

The words i won't stay and INVISIBLE create a tension that acknowledges both the experience of being unseen and the possibility of refusing to remain that way.

This piece asks us to notice those who are overlooked, to recognize that invisibility is often created rather than chosen, and to consider how even the smallest act of resistance can begin with a single red thread.

Interdependence

I am drawn to the contradiction between stainless steel and silk—one rigid and enduring, the other soft and yielding. Woven together, they create a structure that depends on both.

The work explores what it means to hold: to maintain form under tension, to bend without surrendering, and to find stability within disorder.

Here, softness is not the opposite of strength. It is part of it.

What happens when knitting gets ridiculously big or ridiculously small?

From arm-knitting enormous wool into exuberant, oversized forms or knitting fine thread on tiny needles, it is fun to play with scale until something familiar becomes surprising.

These pieces aren't trying to solve anything.

They come from color, curiosity, material, and the sheer pleasure of making.

Sometimes joy is enough.
